Supervisor - Facilities

Position Overview

This position is responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems across the organization’s properties. The role requires strong expertise in electrical systems, efficient facility management practices, and coordination with regulatory bodies such as KAHRAMAA to ensure compliance, timely approvals, and safe operations of electrical infrastructure.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Assist the Facilities Manager in overseeing electrical and facility operations across all properties.
  • Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical systems and equipment (owned/leased properties) using in-house teams or contractors.
  • Supervise, inspect, and maintain electrical infrastructure, including LV/MV panels, chillers, HVAC systems, generators, fire alarm & firefighting systems, pumps, switchgear, and UPS systems.
  • Liaise with KAHRAMAA for technical inspections, compliance, and resolution of utility supply issues.
  • Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and ensure safety.
  • Approve material requests and contractor work orders in SAP, ensuring quality and specification compliance.
  • Monitor and follow up on undelivered pending jobs requested through SAP and take necessary action.
  • Prepare and submit technical reports on electrical maintenance performance and energy usage.
  • Assist with yearly budget preparation and provide recommendations for facility management.
  • Support the preparation of BOQs and technical reviews for RFQs.
  • Prepare BOQs for procurement and review quotations based on technical and price considerations.
  • Evaluate team performance annually and recommend training or skill development, especially related to electrical safety and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in electrical and facility management.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Electrical Systems Expertise: Skilled in installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low and medium-voltage systems, control panels, and generators.
