Job Description
Responsible for the planning and coordination of strategic and refurbishment projects, monitoring the project team's overall process and operations from conceptualization until completion within budget goals and required deadlines.
Principal Accountabilities
- Creating sketches for concept layouts using design software.
- Track the progress and quality of design performed by design disciplines/consultants through reports and progress meetings.
- Create scope of works for tendering purposes, prepare/review submitted offers, and conduct evaluations.
- Facilitate and troubleshoot issues/risks related to design development, right-of-way acquisition, construction, and complex development projects.
- Track progress and quality of work performed by design disciplines, consultants, and contractors through reports and site visits.
- Review and approve project specifications, including approved layouts, drawings, as-built drawings, and revisions.
- Review contractor payments and ensure compliance with the approved BOQ and site progress.
- Control project costs by approving expenditures, administering contracts, and verifying claims.
- Act as the point of contact for internal end-users and ensure their requirements are met cost-effectively and on time.
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
- Prepare substantial completion letters/memos and ensure all required close-out documents are obtained.
- Communicate process improvement ideas constructively and encourage the same in others.
- Keep the Project Manager and stakeholders informed about project status and issues impacting client relations.
- Assist the Project Manager in budget and timeline planning to ensure cost-effective project completion.
- Generate progress/result reports, prepare qualification packages, and present them to the Project Manager.
- Manage and maintain building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
- Participate in facility improvement projects, energy-efficiency initiatives, and sustainability programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Construction Management.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience working in multinational or large-scale projects.
